Candidates have to pay a prescribed application fee while applying for JEE Main 2027 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). This fee varies depending on the candidate's category, gender, exam center (India or Abroad), and paper chosen (Paper 1, Paper 2A/2B).
You can pay the fee online using options like Credit/Debit cards, Net banking, UPI, or digital wallets. Keep in mind that offline payments are not accepted.
The fee amount is different for Indian and overseas applicants. If you’re applying for more than one exam or different courses, you will have to pay extra.

If a candidate fails to pay the fee, the application form will be rejected.

Candidates applying for both Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) must pay a higher fee.
Based on category, gender, exam centre, and selected paper, the JEE Main 2027 application fee could range from ₹500 to ₹2,000 for Indian candidates. Foreign candidates are required to pay from ₹4,000 to ₹10,000.
Online payment options include credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI, and digital wallet payments. Offline mode is not an option for making the JEE Main application fee payment.
As per the information, the tentative fee for males belonging to the General, Gen-EWS, and OBC-NCL categories is ₹1,000 for either Paper 1 or Paper 2. If a male candidate opts for both papers, he is supposed to pay ₹2,000.
The tentative JEE Main application fee for females belonging to the General, Gen-EWS, and OBC-NCL categories is ₹800 for either Paper 1 or Paper 2. The fee for applying for both Papers 1 & 2 is ₹1,600.
SC, ST, and PwD candidates are expected to pay ₹500 as the JEE Main 2027 application fee for only Paper 1 or Paper 2. The fee details for transgender candidates are not provided and will be updated once the official brochure of JEE Main 2027 is published.
It should be noted that the application fee for JEE Main 2027 is not refundable. Candidates need to make a successful payment to complete the form submission process, otherwise, their form will get rejected.
