WBJEE Eligibility 2023: Age Limit and Academic Requirements

To be eligible for the courses offered through WBJEE 2023, candidates must meet certain criteria. Here are the details:

Minimum Marks: Candidates must have obtained 45% marks in the above three subjects combined. For reserved category candidates, the minimum required marks are 40%. English: Candidates must have passed English with at least 30% marks. Board of Qualifying Examination: Any board recognized by the Central or State Government, except for candidates with non-formal, irregular class mode, non-classroom based schooling, open school learning, or distance education.

Domicile/Residential Requirement: Candidates must be citizens of India, and candidates from any state are eligible to apply. Domicile certificate is applicable only for admission to government participating institutes and to claim WBJEE Reservation. There is no particular residential/domicile requirement to appear in WBJEE 2023. The state domicile requirement is applicable for seats under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW). A candidate is considered a domicile of West Bengal if they have resided in West Bengal for the last 10 years by December 12, 2021, or if their parent(s) are residents with a permanent address within the state.

All Courses except Jute & Fibre Technology

Minimum Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board in a regular class mode.
Compulsory Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
Minimum Marks: Candidates must have obtained 60% marks (55% marks for ST, SC, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in the above three subjects. Candidates must have passed English with at least 30% marks.

Jute & Fibre Technology:

Minimum Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board in a regular class mode.
Compulsory Subjects: Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology.
Minimum Marks: Candidates must have obtained 60% marks (50% marks for ST, SC, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in the above three subjects. Candidates must have passed English with at least 30% marks.

Engineering/Technology and Pharmacy Courses:

Minimum Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board in a regular class mode.

Architecture Courses:

Minimum Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board in a regular class mode.
Compulsory Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
Minimum Marks: Candidates must have obtained 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, and 50% aggregate in Class 12th (37% marks for ST, SC, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD). Candidates must have passed English with at least 30% marks. Candidates must additionally qualify NATA 2023 or JEE Main Paper 2.

West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences

B. Tech (Dairy Technology) course

Candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.
Candidates must qualify WBJEE 2023.
Minimum Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board in a regular class mode.
Compulsory Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

Course-wise WBJEE Eligibility 2023:
