MP Board Book for Class 10th Mathematics Chapter 10 Circle
All the students of 10th who will be giving the MP board exam this year, chapter is about circles- definitions, properties, examples, sums related to the properties, summary about the chapter.
Introduction about circles-
A circle is defined as the locus of points which moves on a plane surface. The distance from the centre point to the circumference is always the same.
Circumference- A circumference is the distance around the circle, which can also be called the outer line of a circle.
Diameter- Diameter is the distance from one side of the circle to the other side of the circle.
Radius- Radius is the distance from the centre to the outer line of the circle.
Tangent- Special property for a tangent is that it touches only one point in the circle.
Secant- Secant is a straight line that intersects in two points. It is generally drawn from outside.
Properties of Tangent
- The tangent at any point of a circle is perpendicular to the radius through the point of contact.
- The lengths of tangents drawn from an external point to a circle are equal.
- The lengths of the two tangents from an external point are always equal.
Summary
In this chapter there are 13 questions to practice, some examples for this chapter are also shown. At last in this chapter we have discussed about the definition of circle, circumference, diameter, radius, tangent and some properties
