This chapter is basically for class 7th MP board, chapter’s name is symmetry. In this chapter we will learn lines of symmetry for regular polygons, rotational symmetry, line symmetry and rotational symmetry. 

• Symmetry- It is a geometry figure which has a balanced figure due to the figure which is cut into half pieces. 
• Regular polygon has equal sides and equal angles in the figure. Regular hexagon has six sides and six angles. Regular pentagon has five sides and five angles. Square has equal sides and equal angles. Equilateral triangle has three sides and three angles.   Equilateral triangle’s all the angles measure 60 degrees.
• Mirror reflection leads to symmetry figures.
• The fixed point is called centre of rotation.
• The angle by which the object rotates is called angle of rotation.
• Half turn of rotation means 180 degree, quarter turn of rotation means 90 degree, complete turn of rotation means 360 degree. 
• Some alphabets also have lines of symmetry like letter E, letter, S, letter H.
