NEET UG 2026 is India's biggest medical entrance exam, which will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Through this exam, students can take admission in courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS and Nursing.

Students who want to appear in NEET 2026 have to apply online by visiting the official website exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. Only those students will be able to avail the application correction window who have submitted the form on time.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2026

Read the eligibility criteria given below carefully before applying:

Nationality: Indian nationals, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, Foreign nationals – all are eligible.

Age Limit: Minimum age should be 17 years as on 31 December 2026. There is no upper age limit.

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination.
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English are compulsory.

Minimum Marks (Category-wise):

  • General Category: 50%
  • OBC/SC/ST: 40%
  • PwD: 45%

Limit of Attempts: There is no limit.

How to Fill Application Form

Step 1: Register

  • Visit the exams.nta.ac.in/NEET website.
  • Click on "New Registration".
  • Fill in the required details:
  • Name, Parents' Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category, Mobile Number, Email, Identity Proof, Password etc.

Step 2: Fill the application form

  • Personal details
  • Language & Exam Centre
  • Educational details (Class 10, 11, 12 details)
  • Parent details (Qualification, Occupation, Income)
  • Permanent and current address

Step 3: Upload documents

  • Recent passport size photograph (with name and date)
  • Signature and thumb impression (in black ink)
  • Class 10th mark sheet
  • Address proof
  • Citizenship certificate (if required)

Step 4: Pay Application Fee

You can pay the fee online via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.

Step 5: Print the Confirmation Page

  • Download the confirmation page after submitting the form.
  • Keep the print out safe. No need to send it to NTA.

Important instructions:

  • Apply only from the official website.
  • Apply only once, repeated forms will be rejected.
  • Fill in the correct details and upload documents.
  • Keep your mobile number and email ID active – all notifications will come there.

The NEET 2026 application form is expected to be released in February 2026 on the official website exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.

The registration window is likely to remain open until March 2026. After that, no fresh applications will be accepted.
