NEET 2027 Language Options
The NEET UG 2027 exam will be held in 13 languages:
English, Hindi, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Kannada, Malayalam and Punjabi.
The candidates will need to choose the language for the question paper during the time of filling out the application form. Once submitted, the chosen language cannot be modified further.
Candidates opting for Hindi or any regional language might get a bilingual question paper with questions in English and chosen language. In case of any discrepancy between the two translations, the English translation will hold precedence.
NEET 2027 Exam-Day Instructions
Candidates should reach the exam center before the cut-off time of registration. They may not get permission for late entry.
They should bring their NEET 2027 admit card, passport size photo, and photo identity card.
Candidates who are taking offline examinations should fill the OMR sheet very carefully. Wrongly marked, half-erased answers and filling outside the bubbles are not considered.
NEET 2027 exam pattern, mode, time duration and marking scheme will be declared by NTA through information bulletin.
NTA hasn't announced the official pattern yet, so this is based on the current format. Expect a pen-and-paper test with 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, for a total of 720 marks. Prepare according to this pattern until the 2027 bulletin says otherwise.
3 hours. That works out to 1 minute per question, so time management matters as much as knowing the material.
180 questions, all expected to be compulsory. Physics gets 45, Chemistry gets 45, and Biology gets 90 (split between Botany and Zoology).
+4 for every correct answer, -1 for every wrong one, 0 for questions you skip. If a question has more than one correct option, marking any correct option earns +4. Dropped or incorrect questions get +4 as per NTA rules. That -1 penalty adds up fast, so avoid blind guessing.
13 languages: English, Hindi, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Kannada, Malayalam, and Punjabi. You pick your language while filling the application form, and it can't be changed later. Regional language papers come as bilingual booklets with English alongside, and if the translations ever conflict, the English version wins.
3 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Biology covers both Botany and Zoology and carries double the weight of the other two, with 90 of the 180 questions.
720 marks. Physics and Chemistry contribute 180 each, and Biology contributes 360. So Biology alone is half your score, worth remembering when you plan your prep.
