National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test or NEET UG 2027 would be held by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions in undergraduate medical programs in India. With NEET UG 2027, eligible candidates get admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses. Scores from NEET are also considered for admission in some nursing and allied healthcare courses under certain guidelines of the counseling agency.

NEET 2027 registration process is anticipated to start in February 2027. Candidate has to fill in the application form online using the official NEET NTA website.

Any application done through unofficial website or in offline mode would not be considered. Registration links provided by the candidate through any unauthorized website, message or social media handle should not be followed by the candidates.

Prior to filling up the form, the candidates should carefully go through the NEET 2027 information brochure which would contain all the necessary details about eligibility criteria, examination format, syllabus, application fee, reservation policy, documents required and others.

Examination for NEET 2027 is expected to be held in May 2027. Keeping in mind the examination schedule followed in previous years, it is possible that the NEET 2027 examination would be held on May 2, 2027 which is the first Sunday of May. However, NTA has not released the official NEET 2027 exam date till now.

Those who wish to appear in NEET UG 2027 should keep checking the official NEET website at neet.nta.nic.in. Official notification, registration dates, application form link, syllabus, examination format, admit card and result would be updated at the website.

Till July 27, 2026, information available at the official NEET website was related to the 2026 examination only. NEET 2027 information brochure and registration dates would be announced separately.

NEET UG 2027 Expected Changes

NTA has not yet provided any confirmation regarding the modification in NEET UG 2027 examination format, mode, time, age criteria, and attempts. The information, if any, will be released officially through the information bulletin.

It would be incorrect to believe in rumors about the examination. There can be some consideration about the following subjects but no official announcement has been made till date.

NEET 2027 Exam Mode

NEET UG 2026 was conducted on paper-pencil test. National Testing Agency has not made any formal announcement yet whether the NEET UG 2027 will be conducted in offline format or not.

Until then, the preparation should be done according to the current pattern only.

NEET 2027 Exam Duration

The routine exam time allotted to take the NEET UG 2026 was three hours. An extra 15 minutes were allocated in 2026 re-test to facilitate documentation and verification, among others. However, this is not indicative of an increase in exam time for the NEET 2027 test period. (National Testing Agency)

Age Limit and Number of Attempts

There is no official notification of any upper age limit or number of attempts in NEET UG 2027 so far.

Students should look into the eligibility criteria of the NEET 2027 bulletin before applying. They shouldn’t just assume that the same eligibility criteria will be applicable to the coming year.

How to Register for NEET 2027 Online

Candidates will be able to complete NEET 2027 registration through the official website once the application link becomes active.

Follow these steps to register:

Visit the official NEET website at neet.nta.nic.in.
Click on the NEET UG 2027 registration or application form link.
Select the “New Registration” option.
Read the instructions and eligibility conditions carefully.
Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, email address and other required details.
Verify your mobile number and email address using the OTP.
Create a password and complete the registration process.
Note down the application number generated by the system.
Log in using your application number and password.
Complete the NEET 2027 application form.
Upload the required photograph, signature and certificates in the prescribed format.
Pay the application fee through an available online payment method.

Documents Required for NEET 2027 Registration

How to Fill the NEET 2027 Application Form

The NEET 2027 application form will contain several sections. Candidates must complete every required section carefully.

Login to the Application Portal

Use the NEET 2027 application number and password created during registration. Candidates should keep these login details safe until the admission process is completed.

Enter Personal Details

Provide your name, date of birth, gender, nationality, category and identity details. The information should match your official documents.

Spelling mistakes or differences between the application form and identity documents may create problems during document verification.

Enter Contact Information

Provide an active mobile number and email address. NTA may send registration alerts, correction-window information, admit card updates and other notices through these contact details.

Candidates should use their own or their parents’ contact information.

Provide Academic Details

Enter the required Class 10 and Class 12 information, including:

Name of the school and board
Year of passing or appearing
Roll number
Subjects studied
Marks or grades
State or Union Territory of the qualifying examination

Candidates appearing for Class 12 in 2027 will have to select the appropriate appearing-candidate option.

Select the Question Paper Language

Candidates will have to choose the language of the NEET question paper from the options provided by NTA.

The choice should be made carefully because changes may not be allowed after the correction window closes.

Select Examination Cities

Applicants will have to choose their preferred examination cities. NTA will allot the examination centre according to availability and administrative requirements.

Selecting a city doesn’t guarantee that the candidate will receive a centre in the same location.

Upload Documents

Upload the photograph, signature, thumb impression and applicable certificates in the required format.

Candidates should use recent photographs with a clear face and plain background. Blurred, edited or incorrectly uploaded documents may lead to problems with the application.

Pay the Application Fee

After completing the form, candidates must pay the NEET 2027 application fee online. The application won’t be considered complete until the payment is successful and the confirmation page is generated.

NEET UG 2027 Application Fee

NTA hasn’t announced the NEET UG 2027 application fee yet. The following expected fee structure is based on the NEET UG 2026 fee.

The 2026 fee was ₹1,700 for General candidates, ₹1,600 for General-EWS and OBC-NCL candidates, ₹1,000 for SC, ST, PwBD, PwD and Third Gender candidates, and ₹9,500 for candidates applying from outside India. NTA may revise these amounts for 2027.

Candidates may also have to pay processing charges and applicable taxes.

How to Pay the NEET 2027 Application Fee

The application fee is expected to be accepted through online payment modes such as:

Credit card
Net banking
UPI

Candidates should wait for the payment status to be updated before making another transaction. If the confirmation page isn’t generated after a successful payment, they should follow the instructions provided by NTA or contact the official helpdesk.

NEET 2027 Application Correction Window

NTA is expected to open a correction window after the registration process ends. During this period, candidates may be allowed to edit selected details in the application form.

However, all fields may not be editable. NTA will publish a list of details that candidates can change.
