CAT 2024 : Eligibility Criteria

Before you begin preparing for CAT 2024, make sure you meet the eligibility criteria. While the official guidelines may be released closer to the exam, here’s an overview based on past years’ trends:

1. Educational Qualification:

• Candidates from General and NC-OBC categories need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
• For ST, SC, and PWD candidates, a minimum of 45% marks is required.

2. Final-Year Students:

• Those in the final year of their bachelor’s degree can also apply, provided they meet the minimum score requirement upon graduation. However, failing to achieve these requirements could lead to admission cancellation.

3. Professional Degree Holders:

• Candidates with professional qualifications, such as CA, CS, ICWA, or FIAI, are also eligible to appear for CAT.

4. Age Criteria:

• There’s no age restriction for CAT. However, a bachelor’s degree remains mandatory.
