Yes, it is possible to prepare for CAT within three months if you prepare effectively. Firstly, learn the basic concepts well, then switch to practicing mock tests.

The score of CAT is valid for one year.

First, understand the exam pattern and syllabus. Analyze previous years' papers, find out your weaknesses and make a proper study plan according to sections.

Yes, but you will have to prepare hard for it. Being in 99 percentile means that you are among top 1% candidates. So, around 2500 to 3000 candidates achieve 99 percentile each year.
12. Can I clear CAT in my first attempt?
Yes, there is nothing impossible. Many candidates clear CAT on their first attempt with regular practice and effective preparation.

Yes, you can clear CAT through self-study too. Many candidates clear CAT without taking any coaching classes.
14. Which is tougher, CAT or GMAT?
Both of them are tough in their own way. The verbal section is tougher in GMAT and quantitative aptitude section is tougher in CAT.
15. Do I need a maths background for CAT 2026?
No. There is no such requirement. Almost all topics of maths in CAT 2026 come till class 9th – 10th level.
16. What is a good score in CAT 2026?
A score of around 70 is expected to be near 97 percentile, whereas 99 percentile needs approximately 83 to 90 marks.
17. Is there negative marking in CAT 2026?
Yes, but it will be for MCQ type questions only. For every wrong MCQ, 1 mark will be deducted. There is no negative marking for TITA (type in text answers).
