CUET 2025 : Application Form

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the CUET 2025 application correction window in the first week of April. Candidates who have completed their CUET registration will be able to edit their details during this time. The correction window will be available at cuetug.ntaonline.in.

The CUET exam is conducted by NTA under the Ministry of Education. It helps students get admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses at central universities in India. The exam is held separately for UG and PG programs.

CUET 2025 Application Correction - Editable Fields

During the CUET 2025 application correction period, candidates had the opportunity to make changes in the following fields:

CUET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for CUET 2025, candidates need to follow the step-by-step process outlined below on the official exam website:

Step 1: Registration

Begin by visiting the official website of the CUET exam and click on the 'New Registration' tab. Read the instructions carefully before proceeding. Fill in the registration form with accurate personal information, contact details, and address. Create a secure password and select a security question. Complete the registration process by entering the provided security pin. Candidates will receive their username and password via email and SMS. The mandatory fields for CUET 2025 registration include:

• Candidate's Full Name
• Father's Name
• Mother's Name
• Guardian's Name
• Date of Birth (select from the drop-down menu)
• Gender
• Nationality
• Identity Type (select a valid Photo Identity Card type)
• Identity Card Number

• Choose Password (8-13 characters with at least one special character, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one numeric character)

Step 2: Application Process

During the application process, candidates were required to fill in the following details in the CUET application form:

Personal Details: This section retrieved information from the registration form, and additional details that needed to be provided were as follows:

Education Details: In this section, candidates had to provide their qualifying exam details, including the name of the board/college, passing year, marks obtained, and percentage scored. The fields to be filled were:

Step 3: Examination Centre Selection:

Candidates were required to select two preferred examination states and city choices in the order of preference for appearing in the CUET 2025 exam.

Step 4: University/Programme Selection: 

Candidates had the option to choose one or more universities and programmes from the provided dropdown menu. They could add their selections by clicking on the 'Add' button. In case they wanted to make changes to their selected universities/programmes, they could do so by clicking on the 'Update' tab.

Step 5: Test Paper/Subject Selection: 

Candidates were required to select a minimum of three and a maximum of 10 subjects or papers. Along with subject selection, they also had to choose the medium or language of the question paper. If candidates opted for fewer than 10 subjects, they had to select the "NA: Not Applicable" option for the remaining subject fields.

Step 6: Upload Photograph and Signature

In this step, candidates had to upload their scanned photographs and signatures following the prescribed specifications. The required documents and their specifications were provided in the table below.

After completing these steps, candidates needed to carefully verify all the entered details and confirm their email ID. An OTP would be sent to their registered email, which they had to enter to proceed to the CUET 2025 application fee payment section.

Step 7: Application Fee Payment

To complete the CUET 2025 application process, candidates were required to make the payment of the application fee online. The payment could be made using various modes such as net banking, credit card, debit card, UPI, or wallet. After the successful payment, the candidate's application fee status (paid or not paid) would be reflected on the form. It is essential to ensure the payment is made within the specified deadline to avoid any inconvenience.

The detailed breakup of the application fee amount was given on the screen along with the payment windows, which were:

After that, candidates had to select the payment mode among Net Banking, Cards and UPI and complete the payment process.

Upon successful payment, an application confirmation message was displayed on the screen and the confirmation message and PDF was sent to the candidates’ registered email IDs as well.

While filling out the CUET UG 2025 application form, candidates should be cautious to avoid the following mistakes that may lead to rejection of their application:

• Uploading a blurry image of the signature: Ensure that the uploaded image of your signature is clear and legible.
• Using a plain white background for scanning images: When scanning the required documents, use a plain white paper as the background to maintain clarity.
• Uploading the demanded qualification certificates: Make sure to upload all the necessary qualification certificates as per the requirements specified.

If a candidate forgets the password for the CUET UG 2025 application, they can retrieve it by following these steps:

• Select "Forgot Password."
