GATE CE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering or related field. Candidates with M.Sc. or equivalent are also eligible.

• Final Year Students: Those in the final year of their degree program are eligible.

• No Age Limit: There is no upper age limit to appear for GATE.

Steps to Fill Out the GATE CE 2026 Application Form

Step 1: Registration

• Visit the official GATE 2026 website (GOAPS portal).

• Click on the registration link.

• Fill in basic details (name, email ID, mobile number).

• Receive an Enrollment ID and Password via email/SMS.

Step 2: Filling the Application Form

• Log in with your Enrollment ID & Password.

• Provide personal details, educational qualifications, and communication address.

• Select Civil Engineering (CE) as your exam paper.

• Upload scanned copies of:

  • Recent passport-size photograph

  • Signature

  • Relevant educational certificates

Step 3: Payment of Application Fee

• Pay the fee online via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.

Application Fee (per paper):

• Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates: ₹1000 (Regular), ₹1500 (Extended)

• All other candidates: ₹2000 (Regular), ₹2500 (Extended)

(For two papers, the fee is double the amount of one paper.)

Step 4: Final Submission

• Review all the entered details.

• Click Submit and download the confirmation page for future reference.

GATE CE 2026 Application Form Correction

• If any mistakes are made, IIT Guwahati will provide a correction window.

• Only specific details can be edited (check official website for updates).

Admit Card & Exam Preparation

• Admit cards will be available from 2 January 2026.

• Candidates must carry a printed admit card along with valid ID proof to the exam center.
