GATE 2023 Eligibility Criteria is released along with the information brochure. Candidates can meanwhile check the basic GATE Eligibility Criteria from the section below. A candidate who is currently in the third year of their graduation or have completed their graduation are eligible to apply for the exam.

 GATE 2023 Eligibility Criteria for International Students 

• International students living in countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, Shri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) can also appear for GATE 2023.
• Such students must have completed or pursuing final year studies or in the pre-final year of their bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology or equivalent.
• For 2022, GATE exam was cancelled at international exam centers. Interested international students were required to appear for the exam at cities in India due to COVID-19. However, details regarding GATE 2023 international exam centers will be updated only after the release of the information brochure. Candidates must visit the website again after the release of the notification for any recent update.
