Another YouTube channel F has the subscribers equal to the average of number of subscribers of all the given 5 YouTube channels. If 36% of subscribers of channel F are males then find the difference between the number of male subscribers and the number of female subscribers of channel F.:

    Solution

    Total subscribers of channel F

    =120+142+98+85+1165=5615=112.2thousand

    Total male subscribers of channel F = 36% of 112200 = 40392

    Total female subscribers of channel F = (112200 – 40392) = 71808

    Required difference = (71808 – 40392) = 31416

Hence, the correct answer is 31416.

It is found that the total number of subscribers of channel B and channel E in the month of June was 180 thousand and 160 thousand, respectively. The number of male subscribers of channel B and channel E combined increases by 20% in June as compared to the total number of male subscribers of channel B and channel E combined till 31st May. If the total number of female subscribers of channel B and channel E combined till 31st May was 115 thousand, then find the increase in number of female subscribers of both channels combined in June as compared to the previous month.

    Solution

Total number of subscribers of channel B and channel E together till May = (142 + 116) = 258 thousand

Total number of female subscribers of channel B and channel E together till May = 115 thousand

Total number of male subscribers of channel B and channel E together till May = (258 – 115) = 143 thousand

Total number of male subscribers of channel B and channel E together in June = 120% of 143000 = 171600

    Total number of female subscribers of channel B and channel E together in June = [(180000 + 160000) – 171600] = 168400

Therefore, the total number of female subscribers of channel B and channel E together increased in the month of June = (168400 – 115000) = 53400

Hence, the correct answer is 53400.

Find the ratio of total views of all videos of channel D and channel E combined to the total views of all videos of channel B and channel C combined.

    Solution

    Total views of all videos of channel D = 160 × 27 = 4320 thousands

    Total views of all videos of channel E = 240 × 25 = 6000 thousands

    Total views of all videos of channel B = 198 × 63 = 12474 thousands

    Total views of all videos of channel C = 140 × 48 = 6720 thousands

    Required ratio = (4320 + 6000) : (12474 + 6720) = 10320 : 19194 = 1720 : 3199

The ratio of the number of male subscribers to the number of female subscribers of channel D and channel E are 27 : 23 and 61 : 64, respectively. If 26% and 25% of male subscribers of channel D and channel E, respectively are below 20 years of age, then find the total number of male subscribers of channel D and channel E combined who are below 20 years of age.

    Solution

Total number of male subscribers of channel D

    =8500050 × 27 = 45900

    Total male subscribers of channel D who are below 20 years = 26% of 45900 = 11934

Total number of male subscribers of channel E

    = 116000125 × 61 = 56608

    Total male subscribers of channel E who are below 20 years = 25% of 56608 = 14152

Therefore, total numbers of male subscribers of channel D and channel E combined who are below 20 years of age = (11934 + 14152) = 26086

Hence, the correct answer is 26086.

    Directions For Questions

Direction: Read the information given below and answer the question that follows.

There are 15 floors in a building such that bottommost floor is numbered as 1 while the topmost as 15. Seven persons Amy, Dinu, Mayank, Nistha, Ojah, Prasad and Ritesh have meeting on different floors of building. There are seven lifts, which do not work properly (i.e. If button 5 is pressed in the lift then it stops above floor 5). No two persons use the same lift. Each of them attends the meeting for the tender of different beverages among Coke, Limca, Mazza, Mirinda, Pepsi, Sprite and Thumsup. Each person uses different lifts. There are seven lifts among A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6 and A7.

Amy does not step down on prime numbered floor. Ritesh attended the meeting of Sprite. Number of floors above the floor on which Nistha steps down is equal to number of floors below the floor on which Mayank steps down. Ritesh steps down on a floor, which is multiple of 3. There is gap of two floors between the floor on which Ritesh and Prasad step down. Nistha, who uses lift A1, steps down three floors above the floor on which Prasad steps down. Lift A5 stops just above lift A7. Lift A3 stops at floor 14. Person who attends the meeting of Pepsi, steps down just above the floor on which person attending the meeting of Mazza steps down. Ojah is 12 floors above the floor for which he actually pressed the button. Dinu and Mayank step down on the adjacent floors. Lift A7 stops on the floor for which Ojah pressed the lifts button. Dinu does not use lift A5. Ojah steps down just above Amy’s floor. Mayank do not attend the meeting of Pepsi. Neither Prasad nor Ritesh uses A2 lift. Person, who attends the meeting of Limca, steps down just below the floor on which person attending the meeting of Mirinda, steps down. Mayank and Prasad do not step down on the floor, which are adjacent to each other.
