A warehouse is a commercial building for storage of goods. Warehouses are used by manufacturers, importers, exporters, wholesalers, transport businesses, customs, etc. Stored goods can include any raw materials, packing materials, spare parts, components, or finished goods associated with agriculture, manufacturing and production. In Indian English a warehouse may be referred to as a godown.

Itinerant retailers are traders who do not have a standard place of business from which they operate. They keep moving with their shops from one location to another, in search of consumers. They deal in low priced customer products of day-to-day use like toiletry products, fruits and vegetables, etc.

Consumer's co-operative stores enable consumers to pool resources and buy goods in bulk, achieving economies of scale. By collectively purchasing and selling goods, they aim to retain profits within the cooperative and offer members access to products at lower prices. This model emphasizes community ownership and control, distributing profits back to members or reinvesting them for mutual benefit.

With the coming of Malls, the consumers get a wide variety to chose from. The customers get variety of brands under one roof which makes it convenient for them to shop. Moreover due to its various advantages, it attracts a large section of society. 

Wholesalers can check the price fluctuations in the market by holding back the goods when prices fall and releasing the goods when prices raise. When the price of goods in the market is low, the wholesalers may decide to hold the goods back which result in short supply and high demand. As a result of this, the price of goods in the market increases. Consequently the wholesalers then increase the ceased supply in the market.

Tele-shopping means the ordering of goods by customers using a telephone or direct computer link. It It helps disabled and elderly people to conveniently order goods without going anywhere.

David Ricardo developed the classical theory of comparative advantage in 1817 to explain why countries engage in international trade even when one country's workers are more efficient at producing every single good than workers in other countries.

Retailer offers facilities of after sales services to its customers. Aftersale service is all the help and information that it provides to customers after they have bought a particular product. They address the services from the company to the customers.

Wholesaler trade refers to purchase and sale of commodities and services in huge/large quantities for the purpose of resale or intermediate use.

One of the primary aims of implementing GST is to simplify the tax structure by replacing multiple indirect taxes with a single, unified tax.
