Statistical observations that any anomly can be discovered by comparing different samples if the samples from a large group of test population trend to group's charecterstics.

This Act was enacted by the government of India on 3rd September 1948 to deal with the legal principles governing the taking of census. This Act applies to the whole India including Jammu and Kashmir.

Investigator is a person who tends to solve a problem by planning, organising ,conducting, analysing , and concluding a survey. He/She can collect the data him/herself depending on the size of the population and the objective of the survey.

   Following are the qualities of a good questionnaire;

• Brief and Limited Questions
• Simple and Clear
• Unambiguous Questions 
• No Personal Questions
• Avoidance of Calculations
• Sequence of the Questions
• Pre-testing
• Instructions 
• Cross Examination

Because there will be a lack of response in any of the mentioned cases.

This method is not a method of random sampling because some charecterstics are formed to select the population

Union and state governments at time appoint some committees or commissions to make research into any problem such as Finance Commission, Minority Commission, Planning Commission etc. These committees are given a term to probe into the matter. After the expiry of the term, they present the report to the respective authority, which are then published.

Because an investigator will not want a data full of pitfall and dificulties.

NSSO has been publishing Sarvekshana since July 1977. It has been the major source of information based on the socio-economic surveys undertaken by NSSO on varioes aspects of national importance.

It is the pool from which statistical data is drawn.
