Collection of Data Test - 5

This method is popularly known as Census Method used for collecting data from each and every unit of the population.

In this method, each unit have an equal probability/chance of getting selected, hence the sampling is unrestricted as well as random

Although the Census,1951, was 9th census of India but it is the first census after independence.

This method selects unit with equal probability and replacement. Because units are selected with replacement, a unit can be selected for the sample more than once.

It is a type of non random sampling in which selection is based on the opinion of an expert.

The divided groups are known as clusters

If a researcher wanted to create a systematic sample of 1,000 students at a university with an enrolled population of 10,000, he or she would choose every tenth person from a list of all students.

After forming stratas, final subjects are selected randomly from thoes stratas. 

Since primary data is collected by the investigator according to his/her objectives, the data is more reliable than secondary data.

This law has emerged from the mathematical theory of probability. The pith and substance of this law is that the behavior of an individual event may be erratic and imponderable but when a large number of events of same category are considered, a stable behavior emerges.
