The process of delivery of fully developed foetus at the end of pregnancy period is called Parturition. The middle wall of uterus undergoes rigorous contraction to release baby through birth canal.

The signal of parturition (labour pain) originates from the placenta and movement of foetus. Some hormones like oxytocin generates ejection reflex for parturition.

Lactiferous glands present inside the mammary gland start producing milk due to release of hormone oxytocin from pituitary glands.

Rapid increase of population in a short period of time is called population explosion. It can be checked by using contraceptive methods.

progesterone is called pregnancy hormone because it helps in maintaining pregnancy.

When baby developing within the uterus fully developed, foetal ejection reflex is induced for parturition of the baby through birth canal. Foetal ejection reflex is induced by hormone oxytocin released from pituitary glands.

After parturition, mammary glands start producing milk. The yellowish coloured milk is called colostrums. This milk contains antibodies that provide immunity to newly born baby.

After the birth of child, lactation starts in the mammary glands. The milk released in initial few days is called colostrum. Colostrum contains IgA antibodies that provide immunity to disease.

Several memory ducts join to form wider memory ampulla which is connected to lactiferous ducts through which milk is sucked out.

Expulsion or delivery of foetus takes place due to vigorous contraction of uterus at the end of pregnancy. Oxytocin hormone released from pituitary glands causes stronger contraction to cause expulsion of foetus.
