Reproductive health is the physical, mental and social well-being of an individual in all matters related to the reproductive system, its functions and processes.

The world's human population is growing at an exponential rate. Humans have increased the world's carrying capacity through migration, agriculture, medical advances, and communication. The age structure of a population allows us to predict population growth.

Topical progesterone is also used for treating or preventing certain allergies in which hormones play a role and for treating bloating, breast tenderness, decreased sex drive, depression, fatigue, lumpy (fibrocystic) breasts, headaches, low blood sugar, increased blood clotting, infertility, irritability, memory loss.

Amniocentesis is usually carried out during weeks 15 to 20 of pregnancy. A needle is used to draw out about 20mL of amniotic fluid, the fluid that surrounds the baby in the uterus (womb). The doctor uses an ultrasound to guide the needle at all times.

Intra Uterine Devices (IUDs) , copper releasing IUDs (Cu-T, Cu7, Multiload 375) increase phagocytosis of sperms within the uterus and the Cu ions released suppress sperm motility and the fertilizing capacity of sperms.

Saheli Contraceptive pill acts only at the end point, that is on the inner wall of the uterus, where the fertilized ovum implants and grows. Moreover Saheli is a non hormonal pill and literally has no side effects. However Saheli pill takes some time to show it’s full contraceptive efficacy.

Saheli pill has to be taken two pills a week (with a gap of two days) for the first three months and from the third month onwards only one pill in a week and continue the same dose, till contraception is desired.

A technique in which a woman's egg is fertilized outside the body, then implanted in one of her fallopian tubes. This technique is one of the methods used to overcome infertility, the inability of couples to produce offspring on their own.

First, the egg and the male sperm needed to fertilize it are harvested. Then the egg and the sperm are united in a Petri dish, a multi-purpose glass or plastic container with a lid. If all goes well, the sperm fertilizes the egg, and the physicians then implant it in a fallopian tube. From there, nature takes its course, and the egg eventually is deposited by the fallopian tube into the uterus (womb) for development.

A vasectomy is a procedure that makes a man permanently unable to get a woman pregnant. It involves cutting or blocking two tubes, called the vas deferens, so that sperm can no longer get into the semen.

Sperm processing takes about 30-90 minutes. A speculum is placed in the vagina and the cervical area is gently cleaned of any mucous if present the washed specimen of highly motile sperm is ideally placed in the uterine cavity (intrauterine insemination, IUI) using a sterile, flexible catheter.
