Tube like structure in our digestive system is food pipe. It connects your mouth to your stomach.

• The salivary gland in the mouth secretes saliva, with the help of tongue saliva mixes with the food when is chewed.
• The tongue is a muscle with glands, sensory cells, and fatty tissue that helps to moisten food with saliva.

• The stomach muscles churn and mix the food with digestive juices that have acids and enzymes, breaking it into much smaller, digestible pieces.
• An acidic environment is needed for the digestion that takes place in the stomach.

• The stomach secretes digestive juices.
• Gastric acid, gastric juice, or stomach acid, is a digestive fluid formed within the stomach lining.
