Rabi crops are the crops that are sown at the end of monsoon or at the beginning of winter season, e.g. between September and October.

Rice is mainly produced in the regions, such as West Bengal, Assam, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and coastal plains.

• Jowar, bajra and ragi are the important millets grown in India.
• Though, these are known as coarse grains, they have very high nutritional value.

Kharif crops are usually sown at the beginning of the monsoon season around June and harvested by September or October.
