Mawsynram , in Meghalaya is on the windward side of Garo, Khasi and Jantia hills. It receives rain from the South West Monsoon winds which has its path from the Bay of Bengal. Hence it receives the highest rainfall in the world.

Churu currently is the hottest place in the country with a maximum temperature of 42.1 degrees Celsius. Followed by Pilani, again in Rajasthan with a maximum temperature of 41.7 degrees Celsius. Sawai Madhopur is at third with mercury there reaching 41.6 degrees Celsius.

Autumn is also known as “fall” because, well, it's the season when leaves fall down. All around us leaves are turning yellow and looking a bit dry and crusty. So when a stiff breeze comes along, those leaves seem to “fall” off.
