    The first statement in the sequence should be the one that best connects with S1. It must be a continuation or extension of S1.
    P is first in the sequence: S1 says that Todd borrowed a dollar last year on the 8th of April. P tells us why he borrowed the dollar. It says that he needed a dollar to pay his taxi and the subject lent it to him.
    P is followed by R: R starts to tell how the dollar was borrowed. According to the subject it happened quite simply and naturally.
    R is followed by S: S further continues R's point. It says that the subject hardly resisted it till it was all over.
    S is followed by Q: Q tells us what actually happened. It says that Todd merely said, 'Let me have a dollar, will you'! and S6 continues by saying that the subject said, 'certainly'.
    Thus, the correct sequence is P  R S Q. Hence, A is the correct option.

    P is followed by S: S tells us when this party was. It says that the party was on the previous night.
    Finally, the correct sentence is 'She introduced me to a man I had met at the party the previous night'.
    Thus, the correct sequence is R Q P S. Hence, B is the correct option.

    The author does observe the foot-print, but that's not all he does. So, we cannot accept B.
    A and D cannot be accepted.
