Triangles Test - 13

Put the sidesof triangle a,b,c

for a possible triangle the following are possible.

a+b> = c

b+c> = a 

a+c> = b

Put the sidesof triangle a,b,c

for a possible triangle the following are should possible.

a+b>=c

b+c>=a

a+c>=b

here 2.2+3.1=5.3

so a+b=c

so the triangle becomes a streight line.

so we cannot draw a triangle with sides 5.3cm, 2.2cm, 3.1cm

then the hypotnuse should be always greater than the remaining two sides.

Side opposite to the largest angle is always greatest and a traingle can have only 1 angle as obtuse

Since the sum of all sides of a triangle is 180°.

So,  angle C=70° ,angle B=30°,angle A=80°.

We have a theorem which states that the side opposite to the greatest angle is the longest.

So, the side opposite to angle A is the longest.

Smallest angle is A and greatest angle is B and hence sides opposite to these angles are BC and AC and they are shortest and longest respectively

Since interior angle B >interior angle C hence X<y

Angle bisector is perpendicular to the  opposite side only in equilateral triangle
