Solution

It is given that the length, breadth and height of the container are in the ratio 4:3:2. Therefore, let its length be 4x, breadth be 3xand height be 2x.

It is known that the volume of a cuboid is given by length × breadth × height.

⇒ 4x× 3x× 2x= 12288 cm³

⇒ 24x³= 12288 cm³

⇒ x³= 512 cm³

⇒ x³= 512 cm³

x = ∛512 cm = 8 cm

⇒ Length = 4x= 4 × 8 cm = 32 cm

Breadth = 3x= 3 × 8 cm = 24 cm

Height = 2x= 2 × 8 cm = 16 cm

Thus, the respective values of length, breadth and height of the container are 32 cm, 24 cm, and 16 cm.
