At the end of the sequence, how many fruits will be there in the basket?

    Solution

We are asked to find out the number of fruits in the basket at the end of the above order sequence:

'One', a person has to put one apple in a basket. When ordered 'Two', one guava has to be put. When ordered 'Three', one orange has to be put. When ordered 'Four', the person has to take out one apple and one guava from the basket

    on observing the sequence 1 2 3 3 2 1 4 2 3 1 4 2 2 3 3 1 4 1 1 3 2 3 4

    Number of fruits left in the basket at the end = 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 − 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 − 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 − 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 − 2 = 11

So, the fruits left in the basket at the end will be '11'.

  • Question 4
    4 / -1

Study the information given below carefully and answer the question that follow.

Five people – A, B, C, D, and E are sitting in a line facing South, not necessarily in the same order. E is sitting at one of the ends. A is sitting in the exact middle. Neither C nor D sit at any of the ends. C sits on the immediate left of B. Who sits second to the right of A?

    Solution

    According to the question,

E is sitting at one of the ends.

A is sitting in the exact middle.

Neither C nor D sit at any of the ends.

(Therefore, B sits at one of the ends)

C sits on the immediate left of B.

(Here case 1 gets eliminated because in this case, there is no one sitting on the left of B. Also, since the only D is left, so D sits Between A and E)

    This is the final arrangement.

Thus, B sits second to the right A.
