Each block in the series contains a triangle, a square, a black circle and a white circle. At each step in the series all four figures shift by one place. There are two alternate series of blocks. The figures in the first, third and fifth block rotate anticlockwise. The figures in the second, fourth and sixth blocks rotate clockwise.

In this sequence the large black circle appears for two boxes, disappears for two and then reappears for the final two. The crescent shape in the middle moves 90 degrees clockwise as the sequence progresses. The third consideration are the shaded boxes on the left. The sequence starts with just the top box shaded and then it progressively 'grows' until the whole length of the box is shaded.

This question is actually fairly simple as there are only two rules at play. Most of the shapes are constant and do not change. The first rule is that the middle shapes in the left hand column alternate from white to black to white and so on.

The other rule is that the black shapes at the bottom right hand corner move up and down the box one row at a time.

They start at the bottom right then they move up one place. They move up another place and then in the top row you don’t see them as they 'sit on' two identical shapes.

The correct answer is Set A because there is a row of three figures. This is the common feature for all six of the Set A blocks. The position, size and colour of each of the figures doesn’t affect the answer.

In this question, there are two patterns that are occurring in every other box. In the first box, you can see there is a circle in the top left corner. In the third box, this circle moves one place anti-clockwise and ends up in the bottom left hand corner and then in the fifth box it moves one place further and ends up in the top right hand corner.

The second pattern relates to the two circle with the arrow in-between. They move in the same direction as the singular circle (anti-clockwise) and they move on every other step. This means that option C must be the correct response.

In this case, there is one very simple rule and that is that there must be a telephone symbol in the top left corner and the bottom right corner. Everything else is just 'noise'. There are no patterns or rules amongst the other symbols.

In this sequence white circle moves up one position at each step and the arrow moves clockwise 45 degrees. There is no sequence to the larger shape.
