In this question, the number of lines in the bottom right hand corner of each box is always equal to the number of arrows in the same box.

A further rule is that when all arrows point downwards the black shape is evident in the top right hand corner.

Box E works in accordance with both of these rules and is therefore the correct answer. There are three arrows and three lines. The black shape is not in the box as not all of the arrows point downwards.

Each block in the series contains 4 shapes. At each step in the series one of these shapes rotates by 90-degrees; with the square rotating first, then the triangle, then the first semicircle plus diagonal, then the second semi-circle plus diagonal.

In this question, the number of suns in a box is always the same as the number of clouds in the same box. Box F is the only box with the same number of clouds and suns, making it the correct answer.

In the image at the top, the pattern or rule is running in diagonal lines from left to right downwards. The number of images doubles with each step down. For example, the triangle at the top left of the shape contains one circle. If you look at the shape that is next to it in a diagonal direction, it contains two circular shapes (double the first) and finally, the one at the bottom right of the shape contains four circles (double two). Therefore, the missing value has to contain four triangles as there are two triangles in its preceding step.

The correct answer is neither since it does not have Set B’s common feature nor Set A’s common feature.

There are two figures at each point in the series: (i) The black square moves anticlockwise around the block, one corner at a time. (ii) The white square moves clockwise around the block, one corner at a time.

The correct answer is Set B because the arrow is pointing to a square. This is the common feature for all six of the Set B blocks. The position, size and colour of each of the figures doesn’t affect the answer.

In this question the right hand image in each row always contains the shapes from the first two images in the same row.

The shape from image one is placed in the bottom of the right hand image and its’ colour is reversed.

The shape from image two is placed in the top of the right hand image and its’ colour stays the same.

The missing shape therefore contains a white diamond at the bottom (the reversed shape from image one) and a black triangle at the top (the exact same shape as image two).

The correct answer is Set A because one of the shapes is half of a square’s shape (the first triangle). This is the common feature for all six of the Set A figures. The position, size and colour of each of the figures doesn’t affect the answer.
