There are two figures: a triangle and a circle. At each step in the series both the circle and the triangle move a step down a vertical line. As each shape reaches the bottom of a block it returns’ to the top of the next block.

In this sequence the large black circle appears for two boxes, disappears for two and then reappears for the final two. The crescent shape in the middle moves 90 degrees clockwise as the sequence progresses. The third consideration are the shaded boxes on the left. The sequence starts with just the top box shaded and then it progressively 'grows' until the whole length of the box is shaded.

At each step in the series a “new point of the compass” is added. The first block contains a single line “pointing north”. The next step in the series adds South, then South-West and so on in a clockwise direction.

The correct answer is Set B because there is a column of three figures. This is the common feature for all six of the Set B blocks. The position, size and colour of each of the figures doesn’t affect the answer.

In this case, there is one very simple rule and that is that there must be a telephone symbol in the top left corner and the bottom right corner. Everything else is just 'noise'. There are no patterns or rules amongst the other symbols.

The inner shape in one frame becomes the middle shape in the next frame; the middle shape becomes the outer shape in the next frame, and the outer shape becomes the inner shape two frames later.

Thus, the outer shape in the missing frame should be a square (just like the middle shape in the 5th frame), the middle shape should be a triangle (like the inner shape in the 5th frame), and the inner shape should be a diamond (like the outer shape in the 5th frame).

The line that moves goes in a sequence from bottom line through to the top line and then back down to the middle, the bottom and so on.

The correct answer is Set A because there is a row of three figures. This is the common feature for all six of the Set A blocks. The position, size and colour of each of the figures doesn’t affect the answer.

The first is that the 3 circles rotate by one corner clockwise round the block. The second rule is that the second white circle turns black, then the third circle turns black, the first circle turns white, the second circle turns white, and finally the third circle turns white.
