In fig. 1, in the top leftmost corner, an arrow is placed. In the diagonal position the circle, the square, and the circle are positioned.

In fig. 2, in the bottom rightmost corner, an arrow is placed. In the diagonal position the circle, the square, and the circle are positioned. Now a new symbol ‘cross’ is placed.

In fig. 3 in the bottom leftmost corner, an arrow is placed. In the diagonal position the circle, the square, and the circle are positioned. After a new symbol ‘a straight line with a dot ‘is placed.

The correct answer is Set A because one of the shapes is half of a square’s shape (the first triangle). This is the common feature for all six of the Set A figures. The position, size and colour of each of the figures doesn’t affect the answer.

In this question the left hand image in each row always contains the shapes from the last two images in the same row.

The shape from the third image in the row is placed at the left hand side of the first image and the shape from the fourth image in the row is placed at the right hand side of the first image.

The missing shape therefore contains the sun and the cloud in that order.

In this question, the number of suns in a box is always the same as the number of clouds in the same box. Box F is the only box with the same number of clouds and suns, making it the correct answer.

This type of question can look very complex but in this case it is just one rule that you have to work out. In this instance the 'rule' created by the bottom box is that the number of circular shapes in the box must be identical to the number of arrows in the corresponding box above. The star shape is just 'noise' and is not part of the rule.

The box underneath the question mark contains one round shape and option A is the only option containing one arrow.

The rule in this question is that the number of spotty shaded boxes in the bottom box must equal the number of white crosses in the box above.

There are five spotty shaded boxes in the box below the question mark and Option D is the only option with 5 white crosses in, thus making it the correct answer.

Within the pattern every shape must appear 6 times and also, there must be at least one shaded version and one non shaded version of each shape. There is currently one shaded triangle in the shape which means that the answer must be E as that contains 5 non-shaded triangles.

The pattern you are looking for here is simply related to the arrows. They are presented in a sequence of 3-2-1-3-2- ….therefore the missing square must contain 1 arrow to finish off the sequence. A further factor is that the arrows move from left to middle to right of the box. This means that the missing arrow must be placed at the furthest right of the box. The blue shaded boxes at the right hand side have no relevance and no specific pattern. They are just superfluous information.

In this question, every box must contain two square shapes in the corners of the box. It does not matter which corners, or which other shapes are inside the box. The only criterion is that there must be two squares placed amongst the four corners. Option A is the only one that does this.=
