(A) Let Rs. 5 coins = x
Rs. 2 coins = 3x
Re. 1 coins = 160 - (x + 3x) = 160 - 4x

Total money = Rs. 300
5x + 2 × 3x + (160 - 4x) = 300

5x + 6x + 160 - 4x = 300
7x + 160 = 300
7x = 140
x = 20
Correct statement.

(B) Cost of eraser = x
Cost of pencil = x + 25
8 × (x + 25) + 10x = 12.80 × 100
8x + 200 + 10x = 1280
18x = 1080
x = 60
Cost of the eraser is 60 paise.

(C) Let Amit be x years old.
Father's age = 4x + 5
4x + 5 = 49
4x = 44
x = 11

5(2x + 1) + 5(4x - 3) = 7(5x + 2) - 9(5x + 1) + 10x
10x + 5 + 20x - 15 = 35x + 14 - 45x - 9 + 10x
10x + 20x - 35x + 45x - 10x = 14 - 9 + 15 - 5

30x = 15
x = 1/2
