Himalayan ibex, snow leopard and yak are the animals whose bodies are well adapted to habitat mountainous regions; but cow is an animal which lives on the ground or the grassland with a moderate temperature range and cannot survive on mountains.

The land on which the grass grows is said to be grassland. Zebra, lions and giraffes are suited well to stay on the grassland. Thus, all the given organisms are the inhabitants of grasslands.

Mountain regions have a lower temperature and have extensive rain fall and snow fall. So, the trees growing in the mountain regions are adapted to grow there by having cone shaped and sloping branches so that the rain water or snow does not reside over there and gets removed itself.

Mountain rocky slopes are generally slippery to walk over. Animals living an the mountains have strong hooves so as to hold the ground surface well without getting slipped off.

Deer is a plant-eating animal living in the grassland. To hear even minute noise, it has long ears to protect itself from its predator, also for the same reason it has the legs well suited to run fast. It has got the side eyes to see that its predator does not catch it. Strong teeth cannot help the deer to escape predators.

Hydrilla is an aquatic plant, i.e. it lives in water. It has poorly developed roots because its body is in direct contact with water which acts as absorptive surface to absorb water and minerals.

Generally, the temperature in the mountain regions is lower. Also, the cold winds keep blowing over there, so the climate of the mountain regions is cold and windy.

Lotus is generally seen growing on the surface of ponds which do not have fast water current.

In aquatic plants, the function of roots is to hold the plant in its place against the water currents and prevent drifting to some other place along with water where conditions may or may not be favourable to their growth.

There are some aquatic animals like squid, octopus, etc. which do not have streamlined body. They stay deeper in the sea and catch any prey coming towards them. However, they make their bodies' shape streamlined when required.
