The Mahadayi/Mandovi River, also known as Mahadayi or Mhadei river, is described as the lifeline of the Indian state of Goa. The Mandovi and the Zuari are the two primary rivers in the state of Goa. Mandovi joins with the Zuari at a common creek at Cabo Aguada, forming the Mormugao harbour.

The place situated on the confluence of three seas is also known as 'Triveni Sangam'. Kanyakumari is surrounded by the seas on three sides like – Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean, and Arabian Sea, making it a mesmerizing beauty of earth.

Triveni Sangam, in Allahabad (Prayagraj), has the confluence of three rivers — the Ganges , the Yamuna and a third mythical river the Saraswati. The two rivers maintain their visible identity and can be identified by their different colours. The water of the Ganges is clear, while that of the Yamuna is greenish in colour.

The port city Visakhapatnam or Vizag is located on the southeast coast of India in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Visakhapatnam or Vizag has one of the India's largest seaport and the oldest shipyard of country. The Visakhapatnam harbors is the only Natural harbors in the bay of Bengal shore.

Lakshadweep formerly known as the Laccadive, Minicoy, and Aminidivi Islands is a group of islands in the Laccadive Sea, 200 to 440 km off the southwestern coast of India. The archipelago is a Union Territory and is governed by the Union Government of India. They were also known as Laccadive Islands, although geographically this is only the name of the central subgroup of the group. Lakshadweep means "one hundred thousand islands" in Malayalam.[3][4] The islands form the smallest Union Territory of India and their total surface area is just 32 km² . The lagoon area covers about 4,200 km² , the territorial waters area 20,000 km² and the exclusive economic zone area 400,000 km²

The Central Highlands are bounded by the Vindhyan range on the south and the Aravalis on the northwest. The part of the Peninsular plateau lying to the north of the Narmada river covering a major area of the Malwa plateau is known as the Central Highlands.

The Purvanchal range includes the hill ranges of the Patkai, Barail range, Manipur, Mizoram Mizo, and Naga Hills. The Garo, Khasi and Jaintia hills are part of Shillong Plateau, and not part of the Purvanchal range.
