Qutubuddin Aibak started the construction of the Qutub Minar in honour of famous saint Khwaja Qutubuddin Bakhtiar Kaki.
Qutubuddin Aibak, founder of the Delhi Sultanate, started the construction of Qutub Minar's first storey around 1192. In 1220, Aibak's successor and son-in-law, Shamsuddin Iltutmish completed a further three storeys. In 1369, a lightning strike destroyed the top storey. Firoz Shah Tughlaq replaced the damaged storey, and added one more. Sher Shah Suri also added an entrance to this tower while he was ruling and Humayun was in exile.

During the electrolytic refining of copper, the lump of impure copper metal is attached to the positive terminal of the battery and made the anode and a thin strip of pure copper is connected to the negative terminal of the battery and made the cathode, and both the electrodes are dipped in an aqueous solution of copper sulphate. During the process, copper metal gets oxidised at the anode and goes into the solution, whereas the copper ions get reduced at the cathode and deposit as pure copper metal.

The melting and boiling points of a substance are a measure of the intermolecular forces of attraction. Stronger the forces of attraction between the molecules, higher will be the melting and boiling points. Organic compounds are formed by covalent bonding, and the intermolecular forces are weak Vander Waal's forces of attraction. Hence, they possess low melting points and boiling points.
