What is BITSAT?

 It is an entrance exam that is taken by the BITS Pilani (Birla Institute of Technology and Science, pilani) every year to offer admission in B.E., B.Pharm, M.Sc and other courses offered at BITS campuses (Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad). This entrance test is taken for 3 hours in online mode in which a total of 150 questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, English, and Logical Reasoning. Approximately, 3 lakhs aspirants take this test every year.

BITSAT 2022 Exam Date

Based on the last year exam date of BITSAT, it is expected to be announced in the month of February 2022. BITSAT 2022 Exam Date will be released on the official website. However, tentative BITSAT Exam Date 2022 is given in the table below:

BITSAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

There are three types of eligibility criteria in BITSAT; First for the First Degree programmes except BPharm (Hons), second is for BPharm (Hons), and the third is for the board toppers.

• Eligibility Criteria for admission to the First Degree programmes except BPharm (Hons):- 

• Students who want to apply for this entrance test should have cleared their class 12th examination from a recognised Central or State board with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths) subjects. Also, students must have proficiency in English.
• Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in all PCM subjects including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In addition, at least 60 percent marks are required in each of the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

• Eligibility Criteria for admission to the First Degree programmes in BPharm (Hons):- 

• For the admission in BPharm(Hons) aspirants should have qualified their class 12th (Intermediate) from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. English fluency is mandatory. In addition, students with PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology) subjects in class 12th are also eligible to apply for the BPharm(Hons) at BITS.
• Obtaining a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in PCM or PCMB (If maths taken in class 12) along with at least 60% marks in each subject of PCM or PCMB is required to become eligible to apply for the BITSAT.

• Eligibility Criteria for board toppers to admission to the First Degree programmes in BITS

Those aspirants who have done extremely well in their board exams, meaning the candidate who is topper of their class 12th board exams can get direct admission to BITS as per their own choice of programme. It is applicable for only 1st rankers.

BITSAT 2022 Registration Process

BITSAT Registration process completes in five major steps.

• Creating an Account to Login to the Portal:- The very first step for the students is to register themselves by providing the valid email id and mobile number. These details will be used by the BITS Pilani for further communication.

• BITSAT 2022 Application Form:- After the successful registration, candidates are required to fill the online form in which they need to enter their personal and academic details. Furthermore, they also need to select three exam centers.

• Submitting Documents:- After completing the above given two steps, aspirants are required to upload their documents as asked in order to successfully submit the asked documents they need to upload in the given format.

• Application Fee Payment:- Now, is the time to pay the application fee. BITSAT 2022 application fee online can be done through net banking, credit, or debit cards.

• Final Submission to the BITSAT Application Form:- After rechecking all the details provided by candidates along with Payment, It is time for the final submission of BITSAT Application Form.

BITSAT 2022 Syllabus

BITSAT Syllabus is almost similar to that of class 11th and 12th NCERT Syllabus. Questions in the exam will be asked from the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics (Maths, if candidate has opted for PCM or PCMB in class 12th), Logical Reasoning, and English Proficiency.

BITSAT 2022 Exam Pattern

BITSAT 2022 Exam Pattern has been broken down in the following manners:-

• Mode of Exam: BITSAT 2022 Entrance Exam will be conducted in online mode (computer-based) only.
• No of questions: There will be a total of 150 questions in the exam paper.
• Medium of Papers: The question paper will be in the English language.
• Sections in the Question Paper: The question paper will consist of 4 sections/parts.
• Duration of Exam: Candidates will have to attempt the question paper within 180 minutes that is 3 hours.
• Marking scheme: There are negative markings in this test. So, students will get 3 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

BITSAT 2022 Preparation Tips

Aspirants can check BITSAT 2022 preparation tips & tricks from the below mentioned lists:-

BITSAT 2022 Admit Card

BITSAT 2022 Admit Card is not released yet. It will be made available soon after the conclusion of slot booking. Candidates will be able to access their admit card from the official website once it will be released by the BITS officials. BITSAT hall ticket 2022 is the most important document because without it candidates will not be allowed to sit for the BITSAT Exam.

BITSAT 2022 Exam Centres

There are a total of 61 BITSAT Exam Centres from which students are allotted one centre. Exam centres are allotted to the students as per their chosen locations for exam centres. While filing the application form they are asked to fill three exam centers.

BITSAT 2022 Answer key

Answer keys are not released by BITS.

BITSAT 2022 Result

BITSAT 2022 result will be announced once the examination will be conducted successfully. It will be released by the BITS officials on the official website. Candidates can check their results in two ways. First one is very instantaneous. Just after submitting their final answers, they are able to see the total number of correct answers and incorrect answers submitted by them. The second way is when the BITS releases result iteration, comprising the waitlist and admit list. In the counselling process only limited candidates who satisfy the minimum requirement of score are able to participate in the counselling process.

BITSAT Cut Off

Cut offs of BITSAT varies year to year so to know the BITSAT Year Cut Off, aspirants need to wait till it is being released by the BITS. However, the minimum required marks are considered as the cut off because only those who score the minimum required scores are able to proceed further for the counseling process of BITSAT. BITSAT 2022 Counselling

The counselling process starts after conducting the examination, for this, the institute releases the waitlist and admission list in the form of iteration. BITSAT 2022 Counselling will be likely to start in July next year. However, the students who rank first in their intermediate board exam can take admission directly to the BITS, irrespective of their BITSAT Score.
