AISSEE Admission 2026: Class 6 Admission — Eligibility Criteria
Students applying for AISSEE 2026 for Class 6 must meet the following criteria:
- The student must be between 10 and 12 years of age by March 31, 2026. That is, the date of birth must be between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2016.
- The student must be studying or have passed Class 5 from a recognized school.
- There is no gender discrimination—both boys and girls can apply.
- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.

AISSEE Class 6th 2026 – Application Process
The application process for AISSEE Class 6 is as follows:
- Register by visiting the official website. Typically, the website is exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE.
- During registration, the student's personal information, date of birth, school details, category (General/SC/ST/OBC-NCL), etc., must be entered.
- Required documents such as photo, signature, birth certificate, residence certificate, etc. must be uploaded.
- An application fee must be paid. The fee is ₹800 for General/Defense/Other categories and may be less for SC/ST.
- After completing the application, download and preserve the confirmation page.
AISSEE Class 6th 2026 – Reservation Policy
The following reservations will apply for admission to Class 6:
- Scheduled Castes (SC): ~15% seats
- Scheduled Tribes (ST): ~7.5% seats
- Other Backward Classes-Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): ~27% seats
- Home State/UT: Approximately 67% of seats will be reserved for them.
- Other States/UTs: Approximately 33% of seats
- Special reservations may be available for children of defense personnel.
- Approximately 10% of seats may be reserved for girls.
Tips for Exam Preparation
Students enrolling in Class 6 and their parents should keep the following in mind:
- Understand the syllabus thoroughly. NCERT Class 5 books are useful for preparing for subjects like Mathematics, Hindi/English Language, General Knowledge, etc.
- Solve mock tests and previous year question papers: This will help you learn the exam pattern and time management.
- Practice time management so you can solve questions in the exam with plenty of time.
- Focus on language and writing skills, as the language section will include conversational and grammar-related questions.
