AISSEE Selection Process 2023

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the AISSEE application form in September 2022. Students could fill the Sainik school admission form 2023 online on aissee.nta.nic.in. Students aged between 10 to 12 years are eligible for Sainik School admission 2023 Class 6. Students whose age is between 13 to 15 years can apply for AISSEE admission 2023 Class 9.

Sainik School Admission 2023 Qualifying Marks

To qualify the Sainik school examination, students need to obtain a minimum of 25% marks in each subject and a minimum of 40% aggregate marks. However, qualifying the AISSEE entrance exam doesn't guarantee the selection and call for the medical exam.

Students have to pass the AISSEE 2023 with minimum cut-off marks to get the selection, check out the previous year Sainik school cut-off here.

Sainik School Admission 2023 Merit List

The final merit list of Sainik school admission 2022 will be based on the total marks obtained by the students. The rank for AISSEE 2023 admission will be determined on the basis of their marks in the Sainik School entrance exam and medical test.

Below are some tie-breaking rules that are considered while making the merit list.

  • If multiple students scored the same overall marks, one securing more marks in mathematics will be considered.

  • If there is still a tie between students, marks of English subject will be considered for Class 9 and marks obtained in Intelligence Test will be considered for Class 6.

  • If tie persists, marks for General Science (Class IX)/ Language (class VI) will be taken into account.

  • At last, if the tie persists then the younger one will be selected.

While appearing for the medical exam, students have to carry their admit card and AISSEE 2023 result card with their passport size photograph.

Sainik School Admission 2023 Reservation

There will be a reservation policy for Sainik school 2023 admission for different categories. The final selection will be based on these reservation norms.

  • A total of 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates

  • The reservation for ST candidates is 7.5% seats.

  • There is also the reservation for home state students is 67% seats

  • Remaining 33% seats are reserved for students belonging to other states and union territories. Seats that are left unfilled in this category will be merged with seats of the home state.

  • A total of 25% of seats are reserved for children of service personnel including ex-servicemen.
