JEE Main 2019: Exam Analysis For Paper 1 (9 April - 1st Shift)

NTA successfully concluded the first shift of JEE Main Paper 1 on day 3 (9 April, 2019).

We are presenting here the analysis and review of today's paper.

As per the feedback of the students appeared for the examination, the overall level of JEE Main Paper I examination was “Moderate”.

Physics and Mathematics were of moderate level whereas Chemistry was easier like the previous day.

JEE Main Paper 1 is a 360 marks exam, in which candidates need to solve 90 questions.

Shift 1 of the exam is from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and shift 2 will be from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

JEE Main 08 Apr 2019 Paper 1 Section-wise Analysis (Shift 1)

Analysis for Physics:

Physics section was moderate,4 questions were repeated from previous year exam.

  • No questions were repeated from the January attempt.
  • Similar difficulty level as of January attempt.
  • 1 question from Thermo Dynamics.
  • 2 questions from optics.
  • 1 question from EM waves
  • Physics was the tough one
  • Physics had more weightage of class 11 syllabus than of 12th.
  • Physics was the tough one.

Analysis for Chemistry:

Chemistry questions were easy and questions from Organic Chemistry were repeated from previous year papers.

  • No questions were repeated from the January attempt
  • Similar difficulty level as of January attempt.
  • Weightage in chemistry for Organic chemistry was more than Inorganic.
  • 1 question from Thermo Dynamics.
  • Chemistry was the easiest.

Qs.1: Name the ore of Floride?

Qs.2: Arrange in increasing order of oxidation state of the following: N2O, NO, NO2, N2O3, N2O5.

Analysis for Mathematics:

Mathematics questions were moderate but lengthy.

  • 1 questions from Limits.
  • Mathematics had a moderate difficulty level.
  • Similar difficulty level as of January attempt.
