IIT Bombay's Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship is designed to support students who excel in their studies and require financial assistance. According to the institute's academic office, approximately 25% of students admitted to undergraduate courses each year can benefit from this scholarship. Under this scholarship,
students from economically disadvantaged families receive a full tuition fee waiver and a monthly stipend. However, you must meet certain educational and income criteria.
To qualify for this scholarship, your parents' annual income must be below a certain threshold. Additionally, your academic performance must be satisfactory. This is typically measured by your JEE (JEE) rank or college internal grades at the time of admission.
To continue receiving the scholarship, you must maintain a minimum SPI/CPI of 6.0 each semester and have no academic backlog. If a case is borderline, the Scholarship Committee will review individual circumstances to determine whether you should continue to receive the scholarship.
