CBSE Board Exam 2026 Concludes: 3 Lakh+ Evaluators Covered Under IPS, Schools Urged to Verify OECMS Data
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully concluded the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for 2026 on April 10. Now, the Board is poised to launch its Integrated Payment System (IPS) to issue final payments to the examination centers.
CBSE had previously announced that the IPS would be activated immediately following the conclusion of the examinations. This system directly retrieves data for the payment process from the Online Examination Centre Management System (OECMS).
The IPS takes into account factors such as the number of staff deployed during the examination, the number of students present or absent, and the number of rooms utilized during the exams. CBSE noted that in previous years, some schools had submitted erroneous data, leading to incorrect payment claims.
To prevent such incidents from recurring in the future, the Board has directed all Centre Superintendents and Heads of Schools to log in to the OECMS portal and verify their data. Should any errors or incomplete information be detected, schools must contact their respective Regional Offices to rectify them before the April 2026 deadline.
CBSE has explicitly stated that no requests for corrections will be entertained after this date.
Regarding practical examinations, CBSE had launched a separate IPS portal for practicals on March 16, 2026. To date, payments have been issued to 15,941 schools and 300,669 examination officials, including invigilators and external examiners.
However, several payments were rejected due to the submission of incorrect bank account details by schools and examination staff. CBSE has urged all remaining schools to update and freeze their bank details on the IPS Practical Portal as soon as possible. The portal will remain accessible until April 16, 2026; therefore, institutions are advised not to wait until the last minute.
