The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has clarified that students who studied Mathematics Standard (041) in class 10 can continue with Mathematics (041) in class 11. However, those who studied Mathematics Basic (241) in class 10 can only opt for Applied Mathematics in class 11.
Previously, due to the Covid pandemic, CBSE allowed students who studied Mathematics Basic (241) in class 10 to take Mathematics (041) in class 11/12. This exemption will apply only for the academic session 2024-25.
Schools must ensure that students opting for Mathematics (041) in class 11 have the necessary aptitude and ability.
For the 2024-2025 sessions, students must be careful when selecting subjects as changes will not be allowed once they are filled in the Letter of Confirmation (LOC). This follows the policy dated 10th January 2019.
Students are eagerly awaiting the results of the 2023 exams for classes 10 and 12. The results are expected to be announced after May 20 on the official website cbseresults.nic.in. Keep an eye on the official website cbse.gov.in for updates on the result declaration date and time.
