High Schools in Karnataka to Resume From Monday (14 Feb)

The Karnataka government has decided to reopen the high schools from next week amid Hijab row in Karnataka. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, has informed that, court has said students should not wear any religious dress to colleges.
The decision to reopen the schools from next week and colleges thereafter are taken during the meeting chaired by CM.
The state government announced a three-day holiday on Tuesday because of violence and tension in some schools and colleges due to the Hijab versus saffron scarves face-off.
The three-judge full bench of Chief was formed on Wednesday to hear the petitions. The bench said they also want to resolve this at the earliest but till that time peace is to be maintained.
The Hijab row started in December end in one college, and gradually the row spread to various educational institutions in different parts of the State. Earlier this week the protests took a violent turn at some places. Because of it, the government on Tuesday declared a three days holiday for the institutions.
