The NTA explained that the NEET syllabus underwent changes due to portions being deleted by several school boards during the COVID-19 situation. These deletions, which varied across boards, prompted numerous requests for a syllabus revision.
In response to the evolving educational landscape, the NTA has introduced additional topics not found in NCERT textbooks. These topics align with the curriculum of various school boards, including the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Bihar School Education Board (BSEB), National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), and Board of Secondary Education Manipur.
Furthermore, a correction in Unit 2 of the biology subject has been highlighted by the NTA. The original wording, stating "of an insect (Frog)," has been rectified to read "of an insect and a frog," acknowledging the error in classifying a frog as an insect.
