NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Tomorrow: Check NTA's Important Notice for Candidates — Read Now
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG 2026 re-exam tomorrow, June 21. Ahead of the test, the agency has issued an advisory asking candidates not to believe or share fake news about the re-exam. The clarification comes after a video doing the rounds on social media falsely claimed to show the official NEET UG 2026 re-exam question paper booklet being opened.
The government has made it clear that no individual, coaching institute, organisation, or online platform has access to the NEET UG 2026 question paper before the exam. Candidates have been advised to ignore the misleading posts circulating on social media.
NTA to Send Official Updates on WhatsApp
According to the press statement released on June 19, the NTA would provide updates regarding the exams and centers via WhatsApp for the re-exam scheduled for June 21 to candidates. As per the press statement, the objective of such a move was to convey vital information to the candidates directly and avoid unnecessary confusion.
Furthermore, the NTA has provided the procedure of recognizing the NTA's official WhatsApp account. Only the updates from the verified number of the agency (+91 7827980287) would be sent. Candidates need to check whether there is a blue verification tick and the display name of the account as "National Testing Agency". In case there is no blue tick, the account is fake despite displaying the name of the NTA.
The NTA further stated that it is a broadcast-only account and would not ask for replies or OTPs from the candidates. There would be no request for money from candidates as well.
Fresh Admit Card for June 21
An admit card has been freshly issued by the NTA for the upcoming examination of June 21. It has become null and void for the admit card for the examination of May 3. Students are required to download their admit card from the official website. According to the instructions issued by the NTA, the candidate should type the URL manually in the browser.
Safety Advisory for Candidates
According to NTA, it does not ask for payments using links and QR code. In addition, NTA has never sent question paper, answer key, or "leaked" documents to candidates using any medium. The candidates were advised to remain vigilant against fake calls and emails.
In case of receipt of any suspicious/fraudulent message from NTA, candidates can register at https://innovateindia.mygov.in/neet-ug-2026/. If the candidate has already fallen victim to a fraud, then he/she can lodge a complaint with the national cybercrime helpline on 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in.
Security Measures in Place
The NTA said elaborate arrangements are in place to ensure a safe, secure, and fair exam. The agency is working closely with the concerned ministries, state governments, and security agencies to protect the integrity of the exam process.
