An update from the MCC has been issued with regards to the NEET UG Counselling 2026 process among the category of Persons with Disabilities (PWD). As per the latest notification, it is necessary for the PWD candidates to pay a visit to the Primary Medical Assessment Centre to get the certificate.

MCC has also released the reporting deadline for the Appellate Medical Assessment Board for the candidates appearing for the same. It is essential for the candidates to get done with the process within the given time frame to avail the benefit of PWD category in NEET UG 2026 counselling process.

MCC NEET Counselling 2026: Deadline to Get Disability Certificate

As per the notice by MCC, the Primary Medical Assessment Board shall remain functional till 4 PM on 14th August, 2026. Those candidates belonging to the PWD category who have not yet undergone their medical assessment must report to the concerned Primary Medical Assessment Centre before the given deadline.

The Appellate Medical Assessment Board shall conduct the assessment of those candidates only who report to the concerned center before 10 AM on 17th August, 2026. Such candidates must ensure that they reach the center well within the given deadline.

Those candidates belonging to the PWD category for MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 must obtain themselves medically assessed and certified as eligible for the category.

MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026: PWD Assessment Last Date and Time

MCC has specified separate deadlines for the Primary Medical Assessment Board and the Appellate Medical Assessment Board.

PWD candidates are advised to carry all required medical documents and certificates while visiting the assessment centre. They should also complete the process before the deadline to avoid issues during counselling.

MCC NEET Counselling 2026 Latest Update

MCC has also modified the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 counseling calendar for those candidates who are eligible. According to the updated calendar, the Round 1 registration period would remain open till 15th August 2026.

The NEET UG Round 1 choice filling process would be ongoing till 17th August 2026. Candidates involved in the counseling process must register themselves and fill up choices as per the deadlines specified.

It is important for PWD candidates to get themselves medically examined and get their disabilities certified timely to make themselves eligible for the NEET UG counseling process.
