The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examination (TNDGE) has announced the TN 11th Results on May 19, 2023. The link for the retotaling process of Tamil Nadu Class 11th Result 2023 is currently operational. Students can access their TN HSE+1 Result marks on the official websites, tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in.

A notice has been issued by the board, stating that the retotaling application window will be closing tomorrow, i.e., on August 18, 2023.

Norms for Re-totalling Answer Scripts

• During the process of Re-totalling, the marks that have already been assigned will be recalculated both question-wise and page-wise.
• Unvalued responses will also be evaluated to assign marks.
• It's important to note that requests for additional marks on any answer won't be taken into consideration.
• If, by any chance, there is an increase in marks, a revised mark certificate will be provided to the candidate, replacing the previous one.

Discrepancies in the marking process include various issues such as total mistakes in marks, cases where answers are evaluated but marks are not awarded, instances where marks are given but not displayed on the front page, unvalued answers, and variations in marks between answer scripts and provisional mark sheets. These discrepancies are considered during the re-totalling process.

Official notice reads, “Candidate should submit the filled application along with the payment in concerned District Office of the Assistant Director of Government Examinations from 16.08.2023 to 18.08.2023 at 11.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m.”

How to Apply Online

1. Go to the official website
2. On homepage, click on the link which reads, "HR SEC FIRST YEAR JUNE /JULY 2023 -APPLICATION FOR RE-TOTALLING-II AFTER OBTAINING SCANNED COPY OF ANSWER SCRIPTS"
3. The form will open up
4. Take its printout fill the same and submit it in District Office of the Assistant Director of Government Examinations

The process of re-totalling subjects incurs a charge of Rs.205, while for Biology, the charge is Rs.305. The Class 11th Exams, which took place from March 14 to April 5, 2023, saw a total of 7.73 Lakh students participating.

To successfully pass the TN HSE+1 Exam, students must obtain at least 15 marks out of 70 in their Theory exams. Furthermore, to pass the TN HSE 11 exams overall, students are required to achieve a minimum of 35 marks in each subject.
