CUET UG 2024: Types of Questions Asked in the CUET Exam

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is an examination conducted by the National Test Agency (NTA) for admissions to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs across 169 universities and colleges in India. Whether you’re aiming for the University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Aligarh Muslim University, or any other institution, CUET is your gateway to higher education.

CUET questions aim to assess your skills and abilities. They're crafted to test your understanding and analytical thinking.

The questions you'll encounter in CUET 2024 will be similar to what you'd find in a 10+2 exam or similar standard tests. The exam format follows multiple-choice questions (MCQs), where you select the right answer from given options.

CUET UG Exam Format

  • The CUET UG 2024 exam is conducted in hybrid mode, allowing candidates to choose between the Computer-Based Test (CBT) or the traditional pen-and-paper mode (the latter depends on the number of candidates opting for it).
  • The exam assesses knowledge in languagedomain-specific subjectsgeneral knowledge, and aptitude.
  • Notably, there is no age limit, and anyone with the required qualifications can apply.

CUET Exam Pattern

CUET 2024 Marking Scheme

Marking System: Below is the information about Marking system.

  • +5 marks for each correct answer.
  • -1 mark for each incorrect answer.
  • No penalty for unattempted questions.
  • +5 marks awarded to all candidates for any dropped questions or questions found to be incorrect.
