Father of Education, Sardar Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal Ji Scholarship for Girl Students

Girls enrolled in first-year undergraduate or graduate programs are eligible for a 30% tuition fee scholarship, provided they meet the following requirements:

  • Students' X and XII standard, diploma, and graduation aggregate scores are 80% or higher.

  • For all entrance categories, the scholarship percentage will not change.

  • The student must maintain a CGPA of 8.5 and attendance of 85% or higher each semester, free of back papers, UFM, and instances of indiscipline, in order to be eligible for the aforementioned scholarship.

Scholarship for Children of Defence Personnel [Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, Paramilitary Forces, including CAPF (Ac)]

By guaranteeing that their wards receive financial aid for their education, this financial aid program seeks to recognize the sacrifices and commitment of our courageous defense and CAPF members, promoting academic success throughout generations. 

In order to qualify for this financial assistance, you must meet the following requirements.

  • Service Status: The parent of the candidate must be a member of the Indian Armed Forces, CAPF, or affiliated organizations, either currently serving or retired.

  • The Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and Indian Coast Guard are the defense forces.

  • The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and National Security Guards (NSG) comprise the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

  • The Railway Protection Force (RPF), Special Frontier Force (SFF), Assam Rifles, Border Road Organization, General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Military Engineers Service (MES), Defence Security Corps (DSC), and Ordnance Factory Board are additional forces and organizations.

  • Recipients of the Gallantry Award: As said, provide the recipients of the gallantry award with further cash assistance as a token of appreciation.

Scholarship for Children of Defence personnel (Serving/Retired)

Children of Defense personnel are eligible for a 10% tuition scholarship for the first semester of undergraduate or graduate programs. When a student shows up for counseling or admission, they will only be allowed to claim the scholarship if they have the following original, legitimate certificate or document:

In the case of serving Defence Personnel

  • Dependent’s card issued to the servicemen / A Certificate issued by the Unit Head / C.O. of the Servicemen

  • Aadhaar card of the Serviceman

  • Aadhaar card of the student

In the case of retired Defence Personnel

  • Discharge Certificate of the Servicemen

  • Aadhaar card of the Serviceman

  • Aadhaar card of the student.

Scholarship for Children of Defence personnel (Martyrs Defence Personnel/Gallantry Medals Awardees)

Children of Martyrs Defense personnel enrolled in the first semester of undergraduate or graduate programs are eligible for a 20% tuition fee scholarship.

When a student reports for counseling or admission, they will only be allowed to claim the scholarship if they have the following original documents or a valid certificate:

  • Dependent’s card issued to the servicemen/A Certificate issued by the Unit Head / C.O. of the Servicemen

  • Aadhaar card of the father/mother

  • Certificate of Gallantry Medal Award

  • Aadhaar card of the student

In order to continue receiving the aforementioned scholarships, you must maintain a CGPA of 7.0 and attendance of 85% or higher each year, free of back papers, UFM, and cases of indiscipline.

Scholarship On The Basis Of Performance In Sports

The Sports Scholarship policy will be followed while awarding the scholarship. The policy is released independently.

Students who participate in international, national, state, or university-level sports with permission from the appropriate authority will be eligible for scholarships starting in their second year.

Note: The scholarship will be validated by the Director of the Sports Department and credited in two equal payments during the Odd/Even semester, if applicable. Annexure 2 will govern it.

Annexure 2: 

  1. International Level Participation: A scholarship under this category may be awarded to any applicant who has represented India in international competitions or sports, such as the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and World University Games (including cricket), provided they submit a participation certificate issued by:

  • Olympic Games by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

  • World Championship/ World Cup by the International Sports Federations (ISF).

  • Asian Games by the Olympic Council of Asia.

  • Asian Championships by the International Sports Federations (ISF).

  • South Asian Games (SAG) by the South Asian Sports Council (SASC).

  • Commonwealth Games by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF).

  • Paralympic Games by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

  1. National Level Participation: Upon submitting a participation certificate provided by the Sports Authority of India, all applicants who have competed or played sports at the national level as recognized by the organization are eligible for a scholarship under this category. The scholarship is available for games that are part of the Olympic, Commonwealth, Asian, and World University Games, including cricket.

  1. State Level Participation: Upon submitting a participation certificate from the state's Sports Authority or Sports Statutory Regulatory Bodies, all applicants who have competed in state-level sporting events, such as the North Zone Inter-University Games, Senior State, Junior State, or School State Games, are eligible for a scholarship under this category.

Financial Assistance For Siblings

Siblings of current students or alumni are eligible for a scholarship of 10% off their first semester tuition fee upon submitting the appropriate paperwork:

  • Aadhar, a university ID card, or any legitimate photo ID proof of the siblings bearing the parent's name (documentary proof of siblings must be supplied).

  • A copy of the sibling's degree certificate from CGC University, Mohali (if applicable).

The aforementioned scholarship will only be awarded if the student's brother is enrolled in or has graduated from CGC University and CGC Jhanjeri in Mohali.

Note: In order to continue receiving the aforementioned scholarship, the student must maintain a CGPA of 8.5 and attendance of 85% or higher each semester, without any back papers, UFM, or instances of indiscipline, as confirmed by the office of the dean or director of academics.

Scholarship For Graduating Students On Opting For A Higher Program at CGC University, Mohali

20% off the first semester tuition fee for students who graduate from CGC University, Mohali, and CGC Jhanjeri and choose to enroll in a higher program at CGC University, Mohali, provided they submit the appropriate paperwork on time:

  • College ID card or university ID card.

  • A copy of the grade card (for every semester) or the provisional certificate issued in the same year.

Scholarship For Children Of A Single Parent

Children of single parents (whose annual income is less than 6 lakhs) are eligible for a scholarship of 20% on their first semester tuition fee upon submission of any of the following documents:

  • Death Certificate of Father/Mother, Valid Proof of Divorce issued by the Court of Law.

  • The Certificate of Single Parent issued by the appropriate State or National Government Authority must be submitted by students.

  • In order to be eligible for these scholarships, students must provide a copy of their mother's ITR, Form 26AS, or proof of income from the Competent Government Authority for the previous two fiscal years.

Scholarship For Differently Abled Students

Relevant to: Undergraduate and graduate programs. A 10% tuition fee scholarship is available to students with disabilities who meet the following requirements and submit the necessary paperwork:

  • According to the instructions published by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, the student must present the Certificate of Handicap issued by the Competent Authority at the State or National Government Hospital or Board.

Scholarship For The Orphan Students

A 20% tuition fee scholarship is available to orphan students who meet the following requirements and submit the necessary paperwork:

  • The orphan status is confirmed by a certificate from the Women Development & Child Welfare department.

  • An affidavit stating that the applicant is an orphan or impoverished, fully notarized and provided on stamp paper for Rs. 10. 

Terms and Conditions for the Scholarship

  • The Scholarship Committee will make the final judgment if you are qualified for more than one scholarship, and the total value of all scholarships in such situations cannot exceed the total tuition cost for the semester.

  • The committee may select the highest of the four scholarship alternatives in the year of admission if you fit into one of the following categories: A-Merit-Based Scholarship, D-Scholarship on the basis of Performance in Sports, or K-Scholarship Policy for the Students appeared for CUET UG-2026.

  • If a female student falls into one of the following categories: A-Merit-Based Scholarship, B-Father of Education, Sardar Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal Ji, D-Scholarship on the basis of Performance in Sports, K-Scholarship Policy for the Students appeared for CUET UG-2025, or B-S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal Ji Scholarship for Girl Students, she will be eligible for a scholarship of Higher category (A), (B), (D), or (K) in addition to an additional scholarship of Category (B)-S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Father of Education, Sardar Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal Ji Scholarship. In certain situations, the total sum of all scholarships cannot be greater than the semester's total tuition fee, and the committee will make the ultimate scholarship decision.

  • The G-Scholarship for Children of Single Parents and the H-Scholarship for Students with Disabilities will be awarded at the management's discretion based on the relevant documentation and other requirements.

  • Students who meet the requirements set forth by the university for the scholarship or scholarships should submit their application to the Registrar along with the necessary supporting documentation for review.

  • Scholarship categories (A-Merit-Based Scholarship) and (K-Scholarship Policy for the Students appeared for CUET UG-2026) will not be available to students who finished their education in Open School or Part-Time.

  • Scholarships given in later years (if available) will be credited during the program's Even Semester for the corresponding academic year.

  • If, at any point, it is discovered that an applicant has concealed, suppressed, or misrepresented any information or facts that would have made him or her ineligible for the admission and/or benefit of fee or scholarship that the University has awarded based on initial documentation, the admission and/or benefit of fee or scholarship will be canceled, and the University will recover all such financial support.

  • The management's judgment will be final and enforceable in the event of any escalation, representation, disagreement, discrepancy, or clarification.

  • The Management retains the right, at its discretion, to modify the Scholarship Policy.

Scholarship Progression

  • Every semester, you must maintain a minimum attendance rate of 85%.

  • To be eligible for the scholarship in the following semester, you must maintain the same or a higher percentile in your tests as you did in CGCUET. The scholarship will be discontinued for the subsequent semester if a supplementary is taken in any semester.

  • Throughout the scholarship time, you must behave appropriately and with discipline.

  • You must refrain from engaging in any unlawful activities both on and off campus.

  • If you meet the requirements set forth by the university for the scholarship or scholarships, then you should submit your application to the Registrar along with the necessary supporting documentation for review.

  • The scholarship will be terminated and withdrawn if you are subject to any disciplinary action or are currently facing disciplinary action.

  • You must continue to perform satisfactorily in your coursework with no backlog. You will serve as the college's representatives.

  • Exam registration is valid for 15 days, or until the final exam date, so you must take the test within 15 days or until the final exam date following registration. This criterion applies to both phases.

  • In case you decide to stop your studies, then you must either refund the scholarship amount received in accordance with the scholarship requirements or reimburse the full cost of all completed semesters.

  • The scholarship will last for a year and be renewable if you do well.

  • Waiver of tuition fees will be evaluated individually for each program.
