Manipal University Scholarship

Program fees at Manipal University range between INR 3 Lakhs to 15 Lakhs - all students can’t afford this fee. Therefore, to support bright students financially, Manipal University offers scholarships and Financial Aid. There is a total of 17 Manipal University scholarships through which a student can get up to 100% waiver. 

However, all are not eligible for the Manipal University Scholarship, but those who satisfy the minimum requirement for the Scholarship Criteria at MAHE. 

Manipal University Scholarship - Highlights

Kalam-Pai, Freeship and Scholar Scholarships for MBBS & BDS, Merit Scholarship for Post Graduate (PG) Medical / Dental and Super Specialty Programs, etc… are the scholarship opportunities available at Manipal University for eligible candidates. With the help of scholarship opportunities, a candidate may receive up to 100% waiver.

Kalam - Pai, Freeship and Scholar Scholarships for MBBS & BDS

With the help of Kalam-Pai, Freeship and Scholar Scholarships for MBBS and BDS a student can get up to 100% waiver of course fees and hostel fees.

MBBS students studying Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from any of these colleges - KMC Manipal, KMC Mangalore, MTMC Jamshedpur, MCODS Manipal, and MCODS Mangalore can get the benefits of Kalam - Pai, Freeship and Scholar Scholarships.

FREESHIP, SCHOLAR and ACHIEVER Scholarships for BTech

BTech students at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Manipal and Bengaluru are eligible for the FREESHIP, SCHOLAR and ACHIEVER Scholarships.

Scholarship Criteria:

A student should have passed with an 80% aggregate of Mathematics + Physics + Optional subject (as per selection criteria) in Class 12 from the recognised Board. Also, a minimum of 8 CGPA & above is needed, with no backlogs in Semester 1 of the BTech programme.

Freeship & Scholar Category Scholarships: This Scholarship constitutes 5% of the GENERAL category intake for each branch and is applicable for the entire program duration, starting from 1st year of the programme.

Achiever Category Scholarship: This constitutes 5 % of the general category intake for each branch and is applicable at the beginning of 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year based on the annual academic performance of the immediate previous year i.e. 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year. No scholarship is offered based on the performance in the final year.

Freeship, Scholars and Achiever Scholarship for BPharm

Praiseworthy students studying the Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) program at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS) Manipal is applicable for the Freeship, Scholar and Achiever scholarships.

Scholarship Criteria:

To get this scholarship, all the aspirants should have passed in Class 12 Chemistry + Physics + Biology / Mathematics from a recognised board with an 80% aggregate.

• Freeship & Scholar Category Scholarships: This scholarship is limited to 5% of the general category intake and starts from the 1st year of the programme. It is applicable for the entire programme duration.

• Achiever Category Scholarship: This scholarship is applicable from the beginning of 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year. It also constitutes 5% of the general category intake (excluding Freeship and Scholar scholarship students). Note that, this scholarship is based on the performance in an academic year however, final-year performance is not considered for this scholarship.
