JEE Advanced 2018 – Online Registration Begins
After the declaration of the results of JEE Mains 2018, CBSE is all set for the next step of Joint Entrance Examination- JEE Advanced 2018 registration from May 2. Almost 2.3 Lakhs students have qualified for the JEE Advanced for the year 2018. Every year CBSE conducts Joint Entrance Exams all over India for the aspirants, who want to be admitted in IITs for an Engineering degree.
And this year, CBSE has announced the results of JEE Mains on 30 April 2018, now the Council has opened the online registration for JEE Advanced 2018. Check out some more details regarding the JEE Advanced 2018- exam dates, pattern, eligibility & more below.
JEE (Advanced) 2018 Exam dates & New changes
Candidates who have cleared their JEE Mains 2018 can now register themselves for JEE Advanced from 2 May 2018. IIT Kanpur will conduct the computer-based test, which has been scheduled on 20th May 2018. The 1st paper will be held from 9 Am to 12 Noon, whereas Paper 2 will be carried out 2 Pm to 5 Pm. One can register themselves online for the jeeadv.ac.in & the qualifying in the same will let your admission in IITs for Bachelor’s, Masters or dual degree programme.
For the year 2018, to give equal status & maintain the gender balance at IITs undergraduate programs, the number of seats has been increased from 8% to 14% in 2018-19 batch for the female candidates. And this decision has been taken by Council as a supernumerary seat for the girls only that too without any reduction of male candidates seats.
Eligibility Criteria of JEE Advanced 2018
For those who have been planning to apply for the JEE Advanced 2018, check out & match up to the eligibility criteria for the same below-
1. He/She must be JEE (Main) 2018 top list of 2,24,000 in all categories.
2. Candidate must not have appeared for JEE Advanced 2016 or earlier.
3. Must have given the exam of Class 12 from any Board in the year 2017 or 2018 for the first time.
4. He/She must not have got admission in any IITs earlier.
5. Age limit for JEE Advanced 2018: Aspirant must have born on or before 1 October 1993.
6. As far as the exam pattern of JEE Advanced 2018 is concerned, there will be 2 compulsory papers of 3 hours each, which will consist questions from Physics, Chemistry & Maths subject.
