The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2025 today, January 13. Candidates can apply for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 at Sainik Schools by visiting exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE.

Key Dates & Fees

  • Fee Payment Deadline: January 14, 2025
  • Application Fee:
    • ₹800: General, OBC-NCL, Defence, Ex-servicemen candidates
    • ₹650: SC, ST candidates

Exam Details

  • Mode: Offline (OMR-based)
  • Cities: 190 exam centers across India (Details in information bulletin)
  • Exam & Admit Card: Dates will be announced by NTA.

Eligibility Criteria

For Class 6 Admission

  • Age Limit: 10-12 years as of March 31, 2025 (Born between April 1, 2013, and March 31, 2015).
  • Female Candidates: Eligible to apply for all Sainik Schools (Seats are listed in the bulletin).

For Class 9 Admission

  • Age Limit: 13-15 years as of March 31, 2025 (Born between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2012).
  • Female Candidates: Admission is subject to seat availability.
  • Qualification: Must have passed Class 8 from a recognized school.

Exam Pattern

Class 6

  • Total Questions: 125
  • Total Marks: 300
  • Subjects: Language, Mathematics, Intelligence, General Knowledge
    • Mathematics: 50 questions (150 marks)
    • Other subjects: 75 questions (150 marks)
  • Exam Timing: 2 PM to 4:30 PM (150 minutes)

Class 9

  • Total Questions: 150
  • Total Marks: 400
  • Subjects: Mathematics, Intelligence, English, General Science, Social Science
    • Mathematics: 50 questions (200 marks)
    • Other subjects: 100 questions (200 marks)
  • Exam Timing: 2 PM to 5 PM (180 minutes)
